Daily Photo Tips

Daily Photo Tip

Macro lenses that focus '1:1' are able to produce a life-size image on the sensor. This does not vary with sensor size. Even on very small sensors, a 1:1 macro will produce an image the same size as the subject.

Staithes, Runswick Bay and Saltburn by the Sea 3 Day Break

Advance notice of a new course!

By request I have designed a short photography workshop around Staithes, Runswick Bay and Saltburn-By-The-Sea. As it happens one of my favourite areas!

The dates for 2011 are:

Tues March 25 - Thursday 27th

Tues September 6 - Thursday 9th.

The itinerary is sort of like this:

We will meet at Saltburn at 2pm on the Tuesday for coffee and the teccy bits until late afternoon. We then disperse for dinner.

On Wednesday we will meet up at an ungodly hour (no it's not too bad those times of year) for sunrise at Saltburn.

There is a break for breakfast and recovery then we meet for a photoshop/elements session in the afternoon before going to Staithes for the afternoon finishing off with dinner all together.

On Thursday we will meet up for sunrise at Runswick Bay. After breakfast and checking out we will go back to exploring Staithes meeting up for a final coffee before finishing the workshop.

The cost is £249 per person which includes dinner on the Wednesday night. Guests will need to find their own accommodation, dinner on the Tuesday and lunches.

Be prepared for lobster pots, piers, beautiful bays, boats........... can't wait!

By Steve Molyneux: It isn't often that you're expectations are fulfilled 100% but our day in Malham did just that. Dorcas was knowledgeable and communicated at a level that even I could understand. Thank you
